This is probably how it goes now.
Your first paying advertiser wants an invoice with VAT, and after a month wants to know what his job did. You make the invoice in your accounting software and email the PDF. The numbers you piece together from Google Analytics. With ten advertisers that is half a day a month, and one employer who does not renew because he never saw what he got.
Then you want to sell bundles, or a subscription. That is WooCommerce on top, a VAT plugin, and a developer to tie it together. It works, until an update breaks one of the three.

Do the sum yourself.
Add up your developer's hours on the board over the past year: the updates, the checkout, the integration that broke. Divide by twelve. One developer day a month is already more than a month of Basic.
And your advertiser is going to ask what he got. In 2026, 68% of all Google searches end without a click to any site. Niche boards are gaining ground, but only when they can show an employer what his job did.

Good starting point. What does it cost you a month in time, and what would you do with those hours? Moving over does not cost you your rankings: every old URL gets a 301.
"WordPress is free."

Do I keep my URLs and rankings?
Every old URL gets a 301 to the new one. A migration usually takes 4 to 8 weeks.
